01DefinitionTrustedTrucks Enterprise Architecture

The core unified data dictionary standardizing entity models, shipment states, and event schemas across all services.

01 / CANONICAL DEFINITION

What it means.

The Canonical Domain Model (CDM) is an enterprise architectural standard that establishes an unambiguous, service-independent data model for all business concepts (e.g. Company, FreightOrder, Waybill, Vehicle, SensorEvent, Invoice) across the TrustedTrucks platform.

02 / ROLE IN TRUSTEDTRUCKS

Where it is used.

Prevents data divergence across microservices, ensuring that database tables, Kafka Avro schemas, and GoQuorum smart contracts share identical variable definitions.

03 / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Formalized in Apache Avro schemas registered in the Schema Registry and TypeScript/JSDoc interface definitions.

04 / WHAT IT MUST NOT IMPLY

Read it carefully.

The CDM is an internal platform domain model; it translates into external EDIFACT or UN/CEFACT formats at boundary gateways.
